I'm a grownup!

Who am I kidding? I'm not sure I'll ever truly be a grownup, but I am an adult! What's the difference you ask? I don't know, but "grownup" sounds a lot less fun!

Anyway, I am an official graduate of Virginia Tech with a B.A. in Theatre Arts! Now I can officially manage those crazy little people called actors, and maybe make some money doing it.

Now that it has been a week and a half, I think I'm passed the official "freak out" stage and I'm into the "man, this real world stuff is cool" stage. I know it wont last long, as I'm already learning that money doesn't grow on trees, but this is a great feeling, mainly because I don't have to do homework anymore!

Scott: Congrats on your graduation!!!!
Theresa: Thanks! This real world thing isn't so bad so far!
Scott: That is cause you are still in the newbie phase, give it time......

I no longer get asked those stupid pre-graduation questions that freak out any soon-to-be grad: "So, what are your plans after graduation?" "Do you have a job lined up?" "How about health insurance?" Yes, I appreciate the concerns of family and friends, but when you're asked the same questions five times a day, it eats at you a little. But, I'm past that stage. I have a job that pays my bills, and I have health insurance. The life plan thing is still up in the air, but that's what is exciting, and makes life an adventure. I can't have all the answers now, I'm only 21!!

Well, I still have high hopes, and I'm still excited for the new phase of life. I know not to get to excited, but I also know that I do I've got parents and friends to pull me back down to earth.

So, I'm gonna fasten my seat belt for the next phase of life, and hope that I never have to do homework again!

I think I finally started feeling like a grown up 6 months ago while raking up pine needles.
haha...
but that means I didn't feel like a grown up while:
a)graduating from college (twice)
b) getting married
c) seeing patients
d) making life plans involving children
or
e)buying a house
:) so let me know when it hits you. ;)
